The Z-CoiL® coil is made with piano wire steel, the highest quality spring steel made. The coils are manufactured in four strengths, to compensate for weight and type of activity.
Normal walking creates an impact that is two to three times the body weight. Running produces three to five times the body weight, at the point of impact.
The following illustration shows the variety of coil settings that are available for proper fitting. Since the coil is mounted directly beneath the tibia, these various positions are available to the competent fitter to help re-align and vary the impact as a component of the pain reduction qualities that are totally unique to Z-CoiL™.
